Improve and renew
Directors Rudy Vannevel and Els Willaert, who have been responsible for the daily management of Tree nursery Willaert since 1999, consider it their main goal to continue to grow and to put continuous innovation first. Over the years, Willaert specialized in an extensive range of high quality garden plants. A process in which exclusivity and an eye for new market trends are invariably of paramount importance.
This continuous pursuit of innovation has paid off. After all, today Willaert can be considered as one of Europe's leading tree nurseries, equipped with a real Cash & Carry department. A success story that also provides employment to about 100 employees.
“We market everything that grows and flowers in the garden. With over 30 years of knowledge and experience, we offer more than 5000 different varieties. Serving the entire horticultural sector is our motivation. ”
Logistics ease of use
Thanks to a perfectly thought-out logistics process, Willaert can place its various activities in a number of strong departments: landscaping, garden center, and Cash & Carry - each department characterized by specific needs and requirements - are at the core of the Willaert business. In addition, public horticultural services also form an important part of our portfolio.
Logistics ease of use translates to…
• ... an extensive choice of about 3000 species, all carefully arranged alphabetically, from perennials to heavier trees.
• ... a Cash & Carry department where you can easily cross the 12 hectare site using one of our electric vehicles.
• … events such as the “Digital autumn” (earlier 'Karrendagen') , where you can go for efficient stock management. In a few hours, the customer can make a full choice or reserve a lot that will be delivered later.
Today and tomorrow
Future-oriented thinking and sustainability are extremely important agenda items for tree nursery Willaert. For example, in 2010 Willaert succeeded in obtaining the MPS label. An award in sustainable business, where the focus is on quality control and efficiency towards customers and suppliers.
An eye for the future also requires attention for expansion. Today Willaert has a 12 hectare site in Roeselare. In addition, a second department was opened in Opglabbeek in February 2009. Who knows what the future has in store for you!
